Welcome and thank you for visiting my personal web-page!
I am an Associate Professor of Technology and Innovation Management at Alliance Manchester Business School within the University of Manchester. I received my PhD in Industrial Economics from the University of Nottingham. Before joining Alliance Manchester Business School, I was a faculty member at De Montfort University and the University of Nottingham. Prior to my academic career, I held managerial positions in financial and governmental organisations in Russia.
I am an applied quantitative economist focusing on technology and innovation management. My expertise covers two distinct yet related areas: firstly, I use intellectual property (IP) data to examine various aspects of technology management, including upper echelons, R&D internationalisation, servitization, supply chain dynamics, and voluntary standardisation. In addition, I also touch upon the issues of workforce diversity and equality – encompassing age, gender, and race – in the context of the innovation process and, more generally, knowledge-intensive sectors, such as higher education. My research has been published in leading academic journals, including Research Policy, the Journal of Product Innovation Management, the British Journal of Management, and the Journal of Business Research.
I am a former Chevening Scholar. My research has received awards from such esteemed organisations as the Academy of Management, the British Academy of Management, and the Product Development and Management Association. In addition, I have served as a reviewer for leading academic journals, including Research Policy, Journal of Product Innovation Management, R&D Management, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Research, and Applied Economics.
